The Avast VPN application is easy to use, simple and has several excellent security features. It doesn’t have essential features like split tunneling and killing buttons. Also, it’s not equipped with an integrated Ad-blocker. It’s a great service overall, but there are many other services that offer better features at less cost.

The Windows client comes with a nice user interface that is a familiar experience for anyone who’s used Avast’s anti-virus program. Its interface is simple and the burger menu at the top of the right-hand side leads you to « Settings. » The Windows app can connect automatically, or you can initiate a connection manually by clicking the Change Location button. You’ll then be presented with a list of connections that is categorized according to region, and function (P2P streaming, P2P).

Avast VPN is a strong security option thanks to its 256-bit AES encryption, which blocks WebRTC leaks and DNS leaks. It also supports the highly secure OpenVPN protocol, and offers beta support for WireGuard, which lets you connect in locations that might otherwise block VPNs. It’s an excellent choice for those who have intermittent internet connections.

Avast’s privacy policies are more transparent than other privacy policies and doesn’t keep track of the IP address that you used to connect to or the websites you visit. It does keep track of the amount of information that was downloaded and uploaded during your session.

Avast VPN provides a 7-day trial for free that does not require credit card. You can then select one three or two-year plans for up to five devices at the same time. It accepts credit cards, PayPal and Perfect Money but doesn’t support cryptocurrencies or cash payments.
